Founded in 1990, Bombay Dost was the first registered LGBTQ magazine in India. On our cover we feature one of the finest actors in India today – Manoj Bajpayee. His turn as Professor Siras in Aligarh, as our reviewer says “chilled our bones.” In an exclusive interview, Bajpayee tells us, “The right to love should be granted to everyone.” The issue also features interviews with two other out and proud film personalities – one of Bollywood’s favourite film editors Apurva Asrani and Hollywood’s box office superstar Sir Ian McKellen.

As part of Bombay Dost's 25th anniversary, we embarked on The Likho Writing project to train budding journalists who want to write on queer issues. In this issue you will find works by the Likho journalists who throw new light one some old and many new concerns - has 'boring' become the new 'queer', the impact of homophobic slurs, growing up gay in rural India, pride parades and the diverse colours of India's rainbow community. Our regular writers also focus on the growing problem of drug use in the community

Our center spread features the stars of this year’s most successful LGBT web series All About Section 377. While Papa Passion returns to straighten out some relationship intrigues, we also continue our queer graphic art series with a delightful tale of a wedding that takes place against all odds.
